There’s loneliness, and then there’s missing you. One like a huge hollow object, a dark room that echoes in a low tone. The other like a dull needle—such a small pinpoint of space that causes so much pain.
Hey guys! In preparation for my book launch, I’ll be running an interview series on my blog called “What Music Means to Me.” Whether you’re a casual hobbyist or a professional, I would be SO HAPPY if you filled out the following questions and emailed them to rachel@rachelwaxman.com with your name, instrument, and a photo of you hanging out with or playing your instrument.
(Also, please share this!)
1. When and why did you start playing your instrument?
2. Have you ever struggled or wanted to quit? What kept you going?
3. What does playing music mean to you?
Art is my attempt to express to others the way I feel when I’m alone.
Schmidt for meghanshmeghan! And also for me. Because I love Schmidt.
